Nursing Apprenticeships with the Open University

Employer Information Sessions

To support Primary Care and private, independent and voluntary nursing organisations (PIVOs), we have a streamlined nursing apprenticeship offer and have introduced some changes to our onboarding process. We have also introduced a new placement support service tailored specifically and solely for Primary Care and PIVOs.

For these sectors, we offer:

  • Nursing Associate – delivered over 24 months.
  • Nursing Associate to Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship – delivered over 20 months.

We are running a series of live sessions that will provide you with the information you need to make the decision about whether the apprenticeship is right for your organisation.

The session covers information on:

  • The programme structure and delivery
  • The OU, NMC and ESFA funding compliance requirements
  • The next steps, including inviting your applicant to a candidate briefing session

Please note, you will need to attend an information session to kick-start the process for recruitment.
