Access to Apprenticeships is a new report by The Open University (OU) which explores access to, and the availability of, apprenticeships for people with declared disabilities. It is based on the results of a major survey of over 700 large and small employers across England.

Our unique approach blends technology-enabled learning with local support from expert tutors, and is delivered in partnership with employers. An OU nursing degree is well suited to a wide variety of students who prefer a more flexible approach which enables study around family or other commitments and for those less able to move or travel to study.

Social Worker Degree Apprenticeship opens new route to the profession

The Open University has launched the new Social Worker Degree Apprenticeship which will provide a vital new work-based route into the profession.

Councils and organisations from the private and voluntary sector can utilise apprenticeship levy funds to train both new and existing social care support staff. The apprenticeship builds on the University’s long-standing experience of delivering social work training.
